Your T4A tax slip for 2019 has been mailed

It’s almost tax time! When filing your taxes for 2019, make sure you include your T4A.
The T4A is a tax slip used to report the taxable Life insurance premium that is paid as part of your retiree benefits through the Trust.
Note: If you’re in B.C., you’ll get a second T4A slip for Stelco’s reimbursement of the Medical Services Plan (MSP) premium. [Feb 5/20]

Travelling soon? If you’re planning to purchase any top-up coverage, please note that the phone numbers have changed. In Canada/U.S., call toll-free at 1-877-832-6025, or from anywhere else call collect at +819-566-2066. The Royal & Sun Alliance booklet will be updated soon. [Sept 26/19]



An important message regarding Desjardins (the Trust’s Life Insurance provider)

You may have heard that there was a recent breach of personal information at Desjardins. It’s important for you to know that Desjardins has confirmed that the issue – which happened within a different division of the company – DID NOT affect you, your personal information, your Life Insurance, or the Trust in any way.

Planning to travel this fall or winter?

Your Out-of-province/country emergency medical insurance will cover you for up to 90 days per trip. Remember to take your benefits card with you – your travel medical emergency contact information is on the back of your card. And before you go, consider if you may need additional coverage.

Did you send in your Beneficiary designation or change form?

We really need you to fill in a new beneficiary form for the Trust – even if your beneficiary is the same as before the Trust began. If needed, you can get a new form here. Thanks! [Dec 4/17]
